What is an Expressive Arts Group?

This group, facilitated by a certified clinical counsellor, offers the benefits of individual therapy in a supportive group setting.
In this format, you will have the opportunity to share your work, personal experiences, and what may have come up for you throughout the process. Whether you would like to share and to what extent will always be up to what feels safe and right for you!

Group therapy can be a place to…
  • be introspective and reflect
  • safely give voice to your experiences
  • be heard, received, and supported
  • creatively express and process your feelings and experiences
  • foster connection through shared experience and discussion
  • learn from other perspectives and experiences
  • nurture your creative side, whatever that might look like for you
Key agenda topics for the sessions:
  • what it means to be safe, to create and maintain healthy boundaries
  • childhood experiences and ways they have shaped us into who we are today
  • identifying and looking deeper at our shields, armour, defenses from the past and present
  • feelings of being stuck or in conflict with oneself, others, and greater structures
  • exploring our values, our alignment with them, and how they show up in our lives
  • what creates meaning and value in our lives, and what is no longer serving us
  • acceptance, embracing some things and letting go of others
