Nikki Ansari

Intern Counsellor, she/her

About Nikki

Nikki (she/her) is an intern counsellor currently completing her Master of Counselling degree at Adler University, where she is in her final year and on track to graduate in November 2026. Originally from Iran, Nikki has immigrated twice, an experience that has allowed her to live within different cultures and develop a deep appreciation for diverse perspectives.

She has always been drawn to hearing people’s life stories and supporting them through meaningful conversations. Her background includes working with individuals with disabilities, which continues to inform her approach with empathy, patience, and respect for each person’s unique way of being in the world. Nikki works with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and day-to-day challenges. She is passionate about supporting individuals from all walks of life and strives to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and grounded in mutual respect.

Approach to Counselling

Nikki’s therapeutic approach is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and she works from a foundation of anti-oppressive, trauma-informed values. She believes that every person deserves to feel heard, seen, and understood, and she brings a genuine, curious presence to her sessions.

Central to Nikki’s work is the belief that therapy is a shared process—one where clients are the experts of their own lives. She is committed to creating non-judgmental, culturally aware spaces where people can explore their emotions, clarify what matters to them, and take steps toward healing and growth.
