About Haley

Haley Casselman is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She offers in-person, video, and phone counselling to individuals and couples, and works with a variety of clinical issues. She has an interest in supporting those experiencing anxiety, depression, self-worth, self-esteem, and body image issues, disordered eating, relational stress, school, work, and life transitions.

Growing up in the Kootenays Haley came to find comfort in the mountains, making the North Shore and Lynn Valley feel like home. Haley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology. In addition, she has completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1, Eating Disorder Peer Support, and Crisis Line Training. She has spent time working and volunteering in the health care and mental health fields which led her towards a passion in supporting clients holistically through the process of counselling.

Approach to Counselling

Haley’s clinical work is guided by the therapeutic relationship which allows her to work collaboratively with clients through a strengths-based and relational lens. She uses a Person-Centered approach to bring in warmth, empathy, and compassion, and often includes work from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Self-Compassion, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Her therapeutic view is grounded in the belief that through creating a safe and nonjudgmental space we can explore our unique stories, needs, and challenges. Haley is excited and humbled to walk alongside you and strives to meet you where you are at in order to help navigate your journey in a supportive and empowering way.
