In a world dominated by diet culture and idealized body images, it can be difficult to feel comfortable in our own skin. In this free workshop, we will explore how our thoughts about our bodies and ourselves can sometimes prevent us from living the kind of life we truly want. Together, we’ll focus on developing a more compassionate, flexible relationship with ourselves and our bodies, while learning to align our daily actions with our core values.
Instead of focusing on “fixing” body image, we will work on building a more authentic and fulfilling relationship with ourselves. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), this session will guide you through identifying your personal values and exploring meaningful steps toward those values—no matter what negative thoughts or feelings arise.
Connect with Your Community: Share your experiences with others who understand and can offer support in a safe, non-judgmental space.
Supportive Resources: Access tools and strategies for challenging societal pressures, and find resources that align with body positivity and self-compassion.
Build a Compassionate Relationship with Yourself: Explore how to embrace your true self and move beyond perfectionism and body dissatisfaction.
Understand Body Image: Learn how body image affects your overall wellbeing and how to navigate the pressures of diet culture.
ACT Tools for Change: Use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy strategies to identify values and take meaningful steps toward them.
Mindfulness Practices: Learn techniques to cultivate mindfulness and self-compassion in daily life.
Interactive Exercises: Engage in group discussions and individual reflections to challenge negative thoughts and build a more positive relationship with your body.
Visualization for Empowerment: Use visualization techniques to stay connected to your values and enhance self-compassion.
Community Support: Leverage the power of community and shared resources to strengthen your journey toward body neutrality and authenticity.
