Turning Hopes into Habits

This workshop explores a question that comes with every new year: How can I achieve my New Year’s intentions? Intentions reflect our hopes for the year ahead, but they can also bring expectations that feel overwhelming. Together, we’ll clarify these intentions, set realistic and sustainable goals, and recognize the strengths and resources within ourselves and our community.

The workshop includes opportunities to share your intentions in a group setting, fostering a supportive environment where we can work toward both individual and collective goals. You decide what and how much you’d like to share—we’re thrilled to have you participate in whatever way feels most comfortable for you!

Why set intentions… together?

  • Feel connected with your community
  • Share your goals in a supportive and safe environment
  • Explore how intentions inspire collective hope
  • Discuss the difficulty of setting and keeping with our intentions

What you’ll gain from the workshop

  • Explaining the difference between an intention, a goal, and a habit
  • Learn how to set goals that last with a step-by-step worksheet
  • Contextualize your goals by identifying your internal and external resources
  • Visualization techniques to help you stay connected with your intentions
  • Community support to strengthen and grow your intentions
  • Access to resources for goal setting, community building, and mental health
