Chelsea Reid is a Canadian Clinical Counsellor (CCC) who works in person and virtually with children, teens, and adults. She works with children and teens experiencing personal, social, academic, and behavioural problems, including bullying, gender identity and sexuality, body image and self-esteem, depression, anxiety, abuse/neglect, trauma, and interpersonal issues.
Her work with adult clients includes supporting you through depression, anxiety, OCD, self-esteem & body image, and relational issues.
Chelsea was born and raised in Nanaimo and finds calmness in being surrounded by nature. She holds an honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Western Ontario. She has conducted research looking at the influence of social media on young adults’ relationships and how workplace violence and harassment affect self-worth. Chelsea has also spent a number of years studying and working with addiction.
Chelsea is a compassionate counsellor who meets her clients where they are at and supports them in exploring their thoughts, feelings, and individual experiences. She utilizes cognitive
behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) to guide her work with her clients. She also draws from other therapeutic modalities such as strengths-based, client-centred
and play therapy.
Chelsea offers both in-person and virtual counselling on the following days:
Mondays 3pm – 9pm
$150 – $240
