About Parinaz

Parinaz Falsafi is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Counselling Supervisor in BC. She holds a master’s degree in psychology from Tehran and has 8 years experience providing mental health services to her clients. She offers counselling in both English and Farsi. Parinaz meets her clients where they are and uses gentle encouragement to support and guide her clients to their goals.

Approach to Counselling

Parinaz’s approach is eclectic to her client’s needs. Although she prefers to use a combination of the systemic and psychodynamic schools of thought, she draws from cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion focused therapy, and person-centered therapy, based on each of her client’s unique needs.

Using a strengths model, Parinaz focuses on not only her clients’ needs but also their functions and views. She firmly believes that every person has a unique story, and she tailors her work to her client’s specific needs. Parinaz views therapy as a spiritual journey. Parinaz stays in tune with her clients’ progress while discovering  their life stories. Parinaz always meets her clients with much acceptance, curiosity, and compassion. She aims to support her clients to become aware of their strengths and the and positive aspects of life. She assists her clients in opening new windows in their minds and provides positive tools to cope with life issues and reach their unique goals.

Parinaz provides individual, couples, and group modalities for client’s in both English and Farsi.

Schedule

Parinaz offers both in-person and virtual counselling on the following days:

Mondays: 3pm-pm

Thursdays: 3pm-9pm
